Erik and Tibor, the two owners of HM TEAM car repair shop, have been well known in among Bratislava´s car enthusiasts as the go-to guys for anything car and mechanic related. As they decided to open their own business, they approached us with the only thing that they couldn´t fix on their own – their new brand :) We gladly serviced their company and since than we`re providing upkeep and general graphical maintenance for their company.

Our aim was to combine a racing, fresh & speedy feeling with strong, bold and readable typography, since the range of brand application in this case is really varied – from oil-change stickers, number plates and branded pens to huge megaboards or car wraps.

Slanted, italic typography was a no brainer, but it still seemed too slow and bland. We had to tune it up a little bit.

We were slowly getting to the finish line and what is more iconic in automotive industry than a checquered flag?

The racing red and business black were our colors of choice from the get go. Eye catching, vibrant and flashy, like a Ferrari.

As mentioned previously, we had to think about a very diverse application of the brand. The logo had to be readable and the brand had to stand out on all surfaces, medias and sizes.

The slanted lines and huge, monocolored surfaces were chosen to stand out in Bratislava`s billboard forest.

We love the Gotham family. We really do. And finally we had a project with a perfect fit :)
